Saturday 29th November

1pm – 5pm

Chapel of Rest, Duckett Street, Skipton

Howcroft’s Funeral Services are warmly inviting the local community to their upcoming Open Day on Saturday 29th November, from 1pm to 5pm, at their Chapel of Rest on Duckett Street, Skipton.

As a local, family-run, independent funeral directors, now in its fifth generation, Howcroft’s are opening their doors to offer the public an opportunity to meet the team and ask any questions they may have about funeral arrangements or the services they provide.

Members of staff, who are accredited Golden Charter representatives, will be on hand to chat about the funeral plans available. Visitors can also browse displays of EverWith memorial jewellery, Hurstwood memorial plaques, and a selection of beautiful urn optionsoffered by the firm.

The day will also mark the grand unveiling of Howcroft’s new “Tree of Love & Loss” — a thoughtful and comforting feature where visitors are invited to hang a heart in memory of a loved one, offering a simple and gentle way to reflect and honour their lives.

There’ll be tea, coffee and biscuits served throughout the afternoon, and the team hope local residents will feel welcome to drop in, say hello, and find out more about the caring work carried out by Howcroft’s Funeral Services in the community.

Vicki Howcroft-Metcalfe, Managing Director, said:

“We’re proud of our roots here in Skipton and we wanted to create a relaxed space where people can come and meet us, ask questions, and see what we do. There’s no formality to it — just a warm welcome and a friendly chat.”
