Sadly passed away on Tuesday 26th May, 2026 after returning from Florida to his beloved Yorkshire roots.

Beloved husband of Jacquie, much loved father of James and father in law of Casey, dearly loved Grandad (Grumps) of Granddaughter Olivia and a very special uncle.

A good friend to all who knew him.

Ian will be sadly missed by all his loving family, relatives, former colleagues and many friends.

A private cremation has already taken place.

The family wish to hold an informal celebration of Ian`s life on Monday 22nd June at 12.30pm at St. Mary`s Church, Embsay and Eastby and all will be welcome. The family request no flowers, but donations in memory of Ian, (former President) would be appreciated to Embsay Cricket Club. A collection box will be available at the service.
